Job description

Who We Are :

DUGO is an enterprise asset and capacity management SaaS platform enabling its clients to protect the health of telecom and other critical power networks. DUGO’s clients are national cellular, internet and fibre / cable providers that provide service to millions of businesses and households across North America. Working at DUGO, you’ll have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the reliability and uptime of the critical networks people use everyday.

Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, DUGO prides itself on a positive and empowering company culture with innovation and adaptability as our core tenets. We provide a hybrid (office / remote) working environment and we take a balanced approach to work / life and mix fun into our work whenever possible. We are passionate about our users, our clients and their customers and never shy away from a challenge!

Sound good to you? Well... We’re looking for a Product Manager!

As a Product Manager, you will lead product development initiatives that align with DUGO’s vision and deliver value to users and clients. Your role involves collaborating with User Experience Designers, Developers, and Customer Success teams, acting as the key link between user needs and technical solutions. You will convert user challenges and organizational goals into actionable plans for measurable impact.

What You’ll Do :

  • Product Ownership : Manage the full life cycle of product initiatives, from idea to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and user needs.
  • User-Centric Design : Partner with User Experience Designers to translate user feedback, research, and data into product enhancements that delight and retain customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Customer Success, Development, Sales & Business Development, and other teams to gather requirements, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Product Project Scoping : Define project goals and scope, balancing user benefits and organizational constraints.
  • Roadmap Management : Contribute to and maintain a clear, prioritized product roadmap that reflects user needs, business objectives, and market trends.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Provide regular updates on product initiatives, including progress, challenges, and successes, to both internal teams and senior leadership.
  • Market Research : Specify product market requirements by validating target markets through customer interviews and market research.
  • Competitive Set Analysis : Define product’s competitive set and conduct analysis to determine product features and pricing. Keep a finger on the pulse of the competition and develop tactics to reduce the threat.
  • Market Positioning : Work with sales / marketing to help define go-to-market strategy to create alignment on product positioning, key benefits and target market.
  • Buy-Build-Partner Analysis : Drive buy-build-partner analysis to guide strategic decision-making and review potential partner relationships as necessary.
  • Create User Stories : Create high-level user stories based on product / market requirements and roadmap features.
  • Problem Resolution : Address challenges such as resource limitations or conflicting priorities by proposing solutions and collaborating with the Product Success Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Use analytics, user feedback, and market research to inform product decisions and measure success.
  • Define User Personas : Understand the different types (personas) of users of the Dugo platform and define their unique needs, requirements and experience.
  • Agile Execution : Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions, ensuring development teams understand product priorities and actionable tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement : Seek opportunities to optimize workflows, improve product performance, and enhance the overall user experience.

Requirements

  • 1-3 of years experience in a product management, user-centered design, technical product leadership or related role.
  • Experience presenting ideas, concepts and strategies to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to the US and abroad.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present ideas effectively.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong English language proficiency (written and oral)
  • Willingness and ability to work from office in downtown Halifax as needed.
  • Benefits

Our benefits kick in on day one, with competitive vacation allowance and extra flexible time off dubbed “Dugo Days”.  When we meet, we usually eat, and with all the great lunch spots in downtown Halifax, it’s pretty tasty!

We also offer the following, plus customized benefits based on your unique situation :

  • Group Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision)
  • Remote and flexible work arrangements
  • Transit and fitness discounts
  • Professional development opportunities
