Key Responsibilities : Prepare the design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept report. Prepare the contract documents including the specifications. Evaluate shop drawing reviews. Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable. Coordinate with other disciplines both internally and externally. Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems. Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches. Perform calculations, create specifications, and equipment selection. Qualifications and Requirements : Post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline required. Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required. 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and / or institutional buildings. Strong knowledge in HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems. Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code. Ability to meet deadlines / successful completion of deliverables. Highly effective conflict resolutions skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
