People Store is looking for a Maintenance Technician!
The Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Compliance Manager, is responsible for ensuring building and equipment maintenance, operational repairs, and safety compliance. The role emphasizes quality service, cost-effectiveness, and goal achievement.
This position is integral to maintaining the facility’s functionality, safety, and appearance, requiring strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Pay : $55-$65K
Shift : Days
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement preventative maintenance and safety procedures.
Manage maintenance schedules, inspections, and compliance with safety standards.
Coordinate with skilled tradespeople and contractors for maintenance and repair work.
Liaise with tenants and vendors, ensuring safety and health compliance.
Oversee cleaning, snow removal, landscaping, and general facility upkeep.
Perform maintenance tasks to reduce outsourcing costs and track savings.
Maintain accurate inventory and records of equipment, repairs, and warranties.
Assist with facility-related projects and fixed asset inventories.
Respond to urgent, legislated, or time-sensitive maintenance demands.
Engage with health and safety teams to address workplace concerns.
Health & Safety Duties :
Adhere to occupational health and safety laws, policies, and procedures.
Use protective equipment and report workplace hazards.
Ensure safe equipment usage and avoid endangering others.
Qualifications & Skills :
Education : College diploma in Business Management (Supply Chain focus preferred) or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills : Microsoft Office proficiency, mechanical aptitude ( able to make general repairs ), and basic understanding of building codes .
