Job Purpose

As the Project Manager, you will support the achievement of business strategies by planning and managing complex projects involving multiple business units with multiple dependencies and stakeholders. Identify and proactively manage risks and issues.

Accountabilities

  • Provides formalized direction and leadership to assigned project team(s) and provides feedback on the performance of project team members.
  • Maintains an understanding of the corporate strategies, goals, and objectives to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Determines project structure, identifies required skills, knowledge and abilities and defines roles and responsibilities of project team members. Develops related project documentation.
  • Manages project plans : tracks, monitors, and communicates project progress, requirements, quality measures, controls scope, and change control processes.
  • Motivates and manages diverse project teams (internal & external) and situations to successfully complete assigned projects on time and within budget.
  • Communications : Strong communication skills to effectively communicate project objectives, requirements, expectations, concepts, and progress to the team, project sponsor, steering committee, senior management and stakeholders as required.
  • Develops sufficient technical and business knowledge to manage the assigned project(s) effectively. Responsible for evaluating the feasibility of the project.
  • Through continuing education, maintain a strong understanding of current project management practices, tools, and skills.
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or a diploma requiring 3 - 4 years of full-time study. PMP Certification.
  • Minimum 7 - 9 Years of Job-Related Experience
  • Experience with Waterfall methodology
  • Knowledge and application of formal project management methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Project
  • Knowledge of business processes, practices, and systems, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Capable of managing a broad spectrum of projects, including Strategic Corporate Initiatives, IT Projects, and Business Projects.
  • Advanced skills using the MS Office Suite and Visio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional quality reports, analytical documents and business cases.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity within set timelines.
  • Well-developed negotiation and mediation skills in planning, budgeting, resource acquisition and management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Conflict resolution skills for project-related issues
