The Underwriting Department is currently seeking Intermediate and Senior Life underwriters who would like to contribute to our members' and clients' peace of mind by ensuring they're well protected in the event of an unexpected situation. We're working on updating our tools and systems over the next few years to optimize and simplify our processes so that doing business with Desjardins is always a simple and people-focused experience. Responsibilities

• Analyze medical, personal and financial information to assess the overall risk to the organization in accordance with applicable standards and practices
• In the event of non-standard decisions, negotiate with reinsurers to find solutions to obtain the best possible decision for our members, clients and partners
• Respond to inquiries. Communicate effectively in writing or by phone with stakeholders.
• Make decisions and be able to justify them to members, clients and partners.
• Help develop operational processes and modifications to the sector's underwriting systems
