Senior Legal Counsel Location : Canada (Hybrid) Salary : $150,000 plus bonus About the Client A growing organisation within the Technology sector, this business forms part of a wider group with a global presence. About the Job As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing commercial legal guidance across several business units. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you’ll advise leadership on key legal matters, oversee a regional legal team, and ensure corporate compliance across jurisdictions. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on legal execution and mentoring. Duties will include : Advising senior stakeholders on commercial legal issues and risk mitigation Leading legal teams across multiple geographies Drafting, negotiating, and managing high-value contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies Handling commercial litigation and dispute resolution Supporting M&A integration from a legal standpoint Developing internal legal policies, training programmes, and governance tools Collaborating with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed Delivering legal reports and contributing to business strategy About the Successful Applicant You will be a qualified lawyer in Canada with significant commercial legal experience, gained within the telecoms and software sectors. You’ll have expertise in contract law, team leadership, and cross-border matters. Strong business acumen, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments are essential.
