Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, the Municipal Engineer III is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, implementation, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects and services. This senior technical role provides expertise in engineering design review, contract administration, field oversight, consultant and contractor coordination, budget and schedule monitoring, infrastructure planning, and project reporting.

The incumbent will oversee and support capital projects from planning through construction; review engineering designs and development applications; provide technical advice to internal departments, consultants, contractors, and the public; assist with infrastructure renewal planning; support traffic and transit-related initiatives; monitor project budgets and schedules; prepare reports and recommendations; and contribute to continuous improvements in engineering processes, documentation, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of six years of engineering experience, including significant experience managing complex capital projects. Experience in municipal infrastructure, including roads, water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, traffic control, or related public works systems, is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
