As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal, and Facilities, we support the business in achieving their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We are looking for a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our Global Commercial, Contracts, and Corporate Legal Services (CCL) team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all aspects of Commercial and Corporate legal and litigation issues for the German office which includes providing pre-litigation counseling to internal teams.
• Become a trusted advisor to cross-functional partners across Hatch, including Legal, commercial, and other business teams in order to provide counsel in respect of existing and potential litigation matters.
• Advise on litigation risks and provide insights and / or relevant training to other members of Hatch’s business where required.
• Partner with outside counsel to take an active role in litigation and disputes, develop strategy to manage and successfully resolve claims.
• Collaborate with other external in-house counsel and legal organizations on litigation and policy matters that have the potential to affect Hatch’s worldwide operations.
• Help to ensure compliance with developments in Canadian laws and regulations.
• Assist as necessary in the other work of the Canadian legal team.
