  • Participate in internal and external meetings, including virtual meetings, with professionalism and clarity.
  • Contribute to discussions with internal teams and professional advisors across various jurisdictions where appropriate.

Technology and Process Improvement:

  • Demonstrate comfort working with digital platforms and legal technologies, including document automation tools and AI-assisted legal research and drafting tools.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve legal processes through technology and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:
  • LL.B. or J.D. and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Approximately 2 to 4 years of post-call experience, ideally gained in a litigation, corporate, commercial, or regulatory environment.

  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to convey legal concepts clearly in meetings and discussions.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and sound practical judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization.
  • Comfort working with technology, digital communication platforms, and modern legal tools.
  • Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with leaders across multiple divisions.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage matters independently, and approach legal issues with practical solutions.

Preferred:
  • MBA or other business-related education.
  • Experience working with organizations that operate across multiple locations or jurisdictions.
  • Experience with franchise law, real estate-related matters, or regulated industries.

Professional Attributes:
