Job Description : As Legal Counsel / General Counsel you will provide comprehensive legal advice to a corporation ensuring all business activities are compliant with legal standards. You will oversee legal operations manage external counsel and address a wide range of legal matters from contracts to regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide legal advice on corporate governance regulatory compliance and business strategy.
Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements and other legal documents.
Manage litigation disputes and other legal proceedings involving the company.
Oversee the company s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Work closely with senior management to identify and mitigate legal risks.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Membership in good standing with the provincial Bar.

5 years of experience in corporate law preferably in an inhouse counsel role.

Strong knowledge of corporate governance compliance and business law.

Excellent leadership and decisionmaking skills.
