About the Opportunity

• Review partner agreements and set up new partner profiles in internal systems while maintaining and updating existing account information
• Prepare weekly account statements and distribute to partners in accordance with approval policies
• Build strong working relationships with Operations, Finance, and external partners to understand program structures and their accounting impact
• Upload and record partner sales activity within internal systems
• Respond to partner inquiries and assist with resolving billing or account discrepancies
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to support timely collections
• Prepare and post journal entries related to partner programs as required
• Perform monthly reconciliations of partner commission and accounts receivable balances
• Develop and maintain partner-related reporting and track promotional or trade spend activity
• Review and validate partner claims and submissions for accuracy
• Learn and support various partner compensation, royalty, and incentive programs
• Provide additional support and ad-hoc analysis as needed

• Completed advanced diploma in accounting; graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• At least 2-3 years of accounting or related field experience (experience in manufacturing or CPG environment considered a big advantage)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to comprehend and articulate accounting issues from non-accounting/cross-functional teams and be able to recommend pragmatic solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook. (Minimum intermediary skills in Excel required)
• Knowledge of accounting software an asset (experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central - would be considered an asset)
• Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and self-motivation – who takes direction well but has a clear understanding of how to organize the day-to-day functions, asks questions and engages in self-directed learning to tackle new tasks
• Can multi-task with confidence and high attention to details

Pay Range
$50,000 - $60,000 / year
