The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivatedSurveyor with a background in civil construction and / or engineering who is ready to jump-start their career with a company that has a long-standing history in BC roadbuilding. With a diverse fleet of equipment, a supportive team, and opportunities for professional growth, you’ll play a valuable role in projects that make a difference in communities across the province.
As a Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the layout and measurement of civil construction projects in the field. From staking and topographic surveys to as-builts and inspections, your work will ensure accuracy and precision across every phase of construction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in hands-on environments.
This role is based out of Kelowna, with the possibility of travel to out-of-town projects on a rotational schedule. If you are positive, people-oriented, and eager to grow in the civil construction industry, this could be the role for you!
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of survey tasks including topographic surveys, as-builts, and construction staking (slope, grade, road, and development).
- Interpret engineered drawings and translate them into accurate field layouts.
- Accurately measure and record field data with a high level of detail and precision.
- Communicate daily with Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Compile and complete survey reports and documentation.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and follow all safe work practices.
- Support general labour duties as needed to assist the project team.
