Labor and delivery nurse Jobs in White Rock, BC

The Role : As a Registered Nurse in the Maternity unit, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to women during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns, while also educating families on care practices and recovery.

Responsibilities :

• Assess and monitor the health status of pregnant women, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contraction patterns.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for labor and delivery, collaborating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Advocate for patient rights and needs, addressing any concerns that may arise during the maternity care process.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to established policies, procedures, and best practices in maternal care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care and outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education to enhance patient care in the maternity unit.
