JOB SYNOPSIS:

Assisting in the daily operation of the rental shop. Your primary goal is to provide a quality service in order to help ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience utilizing our rental equipment.

IMMEDIATE REPORTS:

None

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspection and maintenance of rental bindings, skis/snowboards, and boots.
• Cash handling including processing transactions and cash out procedures.
• Proper fitting and adjustment of rental equipment, for individuals, groups, and school groups.
• Organizing equipment and name lists for daily school visits.
• Responding to email/phone inquiries in a timely mannerm
• Waxing and edge sharpening of guest’s skis
• Repairs and service for guests in the repair shop.
• Provide excellent guest relations.
• Sales of parts products.
• Assistance in the retail shop when needed.
• Implementation of all risk management procedures as per Whitewater Mountain Resort, Industry and equipment manufacture.
• Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.
• Promote Whitewater’s safety culture by reviewing and amending where necessary but not limited to: Department Manuals, Employee Handbook.
• Work to achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assist in achieving organizational goals
• Embrace, promote and follow Whitewater’s mission statement and values
• Maintain current knowledge of legal standards pertaining to waivers, equipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

• Previous experience in Rentals and Repairs and Industry experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment.
• Strong administrative capabilities including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), POS systems and records management.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Excellent guest services skills.
• Detail Oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reasonable understanding of computerized Point-of-Sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Cash Handling Experience.
