Project Manager – Broad Reach Canada, youth development-focused charity, BN 891674525 Corporation # 361605-3 officially the Broad Reach Foundation for Youth Leaders, is a Toronto-based registered charity established in 1998 that provides free sail training and leadership development programs for under-represented / BIPOC youth.
Core Mission and Programs
The organization uses sail training as sport, science, and experiential education to help youth aged 12–24 (and up to 30 in some programs) develop knowledge, networks, life and pre-employment skills, and a sense of social belonging through volunteer service.
- Ships2Shores : A flagship national project that offers youth-led sail training voyages on various vessels, including tall ships. Participants engage in 120 hours of activities, including onboard training and a self-directed community service projects
- Winter A-Shore : A classroom-based program focusing on sailing theory, maritime history and heritage, environmental protection, Indigenous relations, youth resilience and S.T.E.A.M. subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)

Organization Details
Broad Reach has a full-time position for a full-time 12-month Black Girls Set Sail Project Manager.
Job Summary :
Reporting to the CEO, the Project Manager will lead the planning, implementation and oversight of all project deliverables ensuring exceptional quality of service, outcomes, and sustainability.
Work Location : On site and remote with a requirement to attend various sites in the City of Toronto during work hours as part of outreach, collaborations, community engagement, events, and some working evenings and weekends when needed.
Start Date : beginning of February 2026
Compensation : Maximum $30 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills
Duration : One year, with the possibility of extension

Qualifications / Education :
Applicants must have a post-secondary degree in social work, sociology, humanities, communication, or other relevant areas of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
