Job descriptionThe position is permanent (40 hours per week guaranteed) and the work schedule may vary (day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays). Candidates must be available to work any day of the week as the Maintenance Center is open 7 days a week, 24 hours, during peak season. Work location : Montreal Maintenance Center in Pointe St Charles. Hourly salary : $38.49 / h Evening shift differential : $1.50 / h Night shift differential : $2.00 / h Full benefits : Dental, medical (prescription glasses, drug prescription), pension plan, ride pass 5 personal days + vacations Uniforms, all tools, PPE (boots, glasses, helmet, vest, gloves), free parking, shower / personal change room, indoor lunchroom Previous experience with troubleshooting and electrical equipment Excellent Teamwork Skills And Strong Problem-solving Abilities Availability to work different shifts (days, evenings, nights) including weekends and holidays Assets : Qualifications or experience in electromechanics and / or HVAC A professional or technical degree in refrigeration Having completed an industrial electrical apprenticeship

Responsibilities
- As an Electrician for VIA Rail, perform electrical duties on locomotives and passenger cars, including HVAC equipment. Maintain responsibility for all electrical equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and lighting systems.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical controls and panel boxes; test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure circuit integrity for all electrical equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
