Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd. , based in Penticton, BC, is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. Known for delivering high-quality, custom-built solutions, they support a wide range of industries from a two-acre facility equipped with advanced in-house machinery, state-of-the-art tooling, and cutting-edge engineering technology. Their capabilities span concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Journeyman to join their team. In this key role, you will operate a variety of CNC machines to produce precision components that meet their high-quality standards. This position is ideal for a self-starter with a strong mechanical aptitude, precision-focused mindset, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and horizontal boring machines to produce precision components;
- Load tools, set up programs, and perform machine edits as necessary;
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications in both metric and imperial units;
- Conduct quality inspections and make adjustments to ensure optimal production output;
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work and equipment areas;
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines;
- Troubleshoot machining issues efficiently and participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
- Support prototype machining and small production runs as required.
