Job descriptionCleaning and maintaining garbage rooms and disposal areas. Assisting with waste removal and ensuring proper recycling practices. Reporting issues such as overflow, odors, or sanitation concerns. Seasonal cleaning such as salt removal, power washing, or deep scrubbing. Handling special cleaning requests and emergency spills. Operating commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Monitoring building conditions and reporting maintenance concerns. Supporting property management with minor building-related tasks. Responding professionally to resident inquiries when needed. Following WHMIS and safe chemical handling procedures. Ensuring all cleaning is completed according to safety and sanitation standards. Maintaining a clean and organized janitorial storage area. Previous experience in condo, commercial, or heavy-duty cleaning preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physically capable of lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.
Wage : $18.00 per hour.

Job Description :
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Superintendent / Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at a residential condominium building in Whitby. This position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property’s common areas.
The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping the building in excellent condition for residents and visitors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
As a Superintendent / Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the building, including but not limited to :
Cleaning & Maintenance of Common Areas :
- Deep cleaning of lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and amenity spaces.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
- Floor care including scrubbing, buffing, and spot treatment as required.
