Bayview Glen is seeking a full-time Information Technology Support Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will deliver front-line technical support to staff, faculty, and students, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and communication systems.

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and applications, in person, remotely, by phone, or electronically.
  • Assess and resolve user support requests efficiently while documenting issues in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate critical incidents promptly and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Research technical problems and recommend system upgrades or workflow improvements.
  • Analyze logged incidents to identify recurring issues and propose proactive solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain devices, peripherals, and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support school functions by setting up and operating audio-visual and conferencing equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits of devices and ensure accuracy in IT asset and inventory databases.

What You’ll Need :

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a technical support environment, including troubleshooting and software deployment.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft (especially OneNote), networking, VoIP, mobile devices, and A / V systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a firm grasp of support best practices.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage tasks independently and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Curiosity for new technologies and the ability to evaluate their relevance to school environments.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours to support events or IT maintenance.
