Type:Contract(12Mouths+) Onsite:7450 Mile End Street, Montreal(H2R 2Z6) Pay:C$ : 60 / h+ About the Role : We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide advanced technical assistance and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, manage IT infrastructure, and collaborate with other teams to improve IT services. Key Responsibilities : ⚫ Technical Support : Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Provide support for OS (Windows, macOS, Linux), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and VPN. Diagnose and resolve server, storage, and network infrastructure problems. ⚫ Infrastructure Management : Assist in configuring and maintaining servers, firewalls, switches, and network devices. Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance. Support virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). ⚫ Security & Compliance : Implement security policies, patch management, antivirus updates, and access controls. Assist in audits and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001). ⚫ Documentation & Process Improvement : Update technical documentation and knowledge base articles. Identify recurring issues and help implement long-term solutions. ⚫ User Training & Collaboration : Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge. Effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical users Requirements : ⚫ 3+ years of experience in IT support or system administration. ⚫ Preferred certifications : CompTIA Network+ / Security+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL Foundation. ⚫ Experience troubleshooting Windows / macOS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. ⚫ Knowledge of networking (TCP / IP, VLANs, firewalls) and enterprise tools (e.g., SCCM, Jira, ServiceNow). ⚫ Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf).
