Job descriptionDeveloping the machine code in PLC or DNA system as well as Human Machine Interface (HMI), software so that equipment functions as specified. Providing technical support for project meetings with customers. Deliver technical training to customers' operators and / or maintenance personnel as needed. Making return trips to the site to eliminate warranty issues or address customer needs.

As at Valmet, you will be part of our Engineering Services team and apply your skills and experiences to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers facilities across North America.
- Developing electrical and fluid schematics, machine control and human machine interface software for Valmet equipment.
- Testing software modifications as well as participating in start-ups, and service calls.
You will direct and be responsible for project engineering work of complete projects at customer sites which include :
What you will need :
A two or four-year degree in Engineering, Papermaking Technology, programming, or a related field; three to five years’ experience in a technical role within the papermaking industry or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understanding of PLC programming and papermaking machinery and hydraulic systems a plus, but not required.
