This role is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and reports to the Associate Portfolio Manager, Real Assets.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong academic background, ideally holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative discipline. While candidates with degrees in other fields will also be considered, they should be able to demonstrate the necessary technical aptitude for the role. This opportunity is open to both new graduates and individuals with a few years of relevant experience.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, which are essential for working collaboratively within our team and building relationships with external partners. A strong interest in pursuing professional designations such as the CFA or CAIA is highly valued, and the Pension Plan is committed to supporting ongoing education and credentialing.
We are seeking someone with a high level of personal commitment, intellectual curiosity about investing, and the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision. A proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and initiative are key to thriving in this role. In return, candidates can expect challenging and rewarding work in a dynamic environment with ample opportunities for growth and development as a well-rounded investor.

No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, we welcome your application. We all come from different backgrounds and different walks of life, bringing in unique perspectives and experiences. We encourage applications from 2SLGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), women, newcomers to Canada, and people with disabilities.
