AGS is looking for a Handyman to join our dynamic organization.

JOB SUMMARY

The handyman (or handyperson) is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed below are not meant to be all-encompassing. As business needs change, this list may be adapted.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Paint, patch, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces
• Maintain outdoor areas (e.g., gutters, fences, sidewalks, landscaping tasks)
• Asphalt repairs
• Assemble furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed
• Minor repairs and renovations
• Support inventory activities for capital equipment
• Conduct inspections to identify repair or safety issues
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a clean work environment

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use hand tools and power equipment safely
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with support managing multiple tasks
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field is an asset but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Manufacturing facility
• Travel required between Cambridge and Oshawa plants
• The role involves physical labor, lifting, climbing ladders, and working both indoors and outdoors.
