Overview
Permanent Full Time. We are looking for a Senior Claims Analyst to join the team. Are you looking to make a difference? To use your analytical ability to make decisions? As a member of the Living Benefit Claims department, you will be responsible for adjudicating individual disability and critical illness claims with the goal of accepting all payable claims in accordance with the terms of the actual individual policy.
Responsibilities
- Developing the claim file by assessing various factors (medical, finances, occupation) required to assess the disability
- Reviewing all the information when received and arriving at a decision to either accept or deny the claim
- Consulting with the Medical Board, accountant, legal counsel and peers
- Communicating by letter, telephone and email with policyholders, doctors, agents and lawyers for the purpose of requesting information, explaining decisions and defending claim policies and guidelines
Qualifications
The base salary for this position is between $51,400 minimum - $77,100 maximum annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
