Your opportunity :
Under the general supervision of the Associate Chair, Undergraduate, and the Undergraduate Administrator and in consultation with faculty and lecturers, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support for students and the Faculty and Lecturers in the Department of Mathematics. The incumbent will coordinate the academic integrity issues for the large courses, schedule TAs for large courses, keep a calendar of administrative deadlines, as well as prompt course coordinators when deadlines are approaching. The incumbent will also manage sick notes and accommodation requests for all large courses.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Identifying and reporting academic offences
- Disseminating non-compliance notices and following up as required
- Providing detailed information to students on program and / or course requirements
- Interpreting academic regulations, program and degree requirements
- Calculating student grades using excel based formulas
- Coordinating the recruitment and training process for teaching assistants
- Scheduling and assigning students to courses, tutorials and / or lab sections
- Booking audio-visual and / or computer equipment
