THE ORGANIZATION
The Martin Family Initiative (MFI) works in collaboration with Indigenous communities and organizations to advance family, educational and economic well-being outcomes for Indigenous people, across the lifespan. Addressing emerging needs through Indigenous led practices lives at the core of what we do. We work with Indigenous leaders and educators to identify the wellbeing objectives they wish to see for their families and students they care about.
POSITION SUMMARY
MFI is seeking a TREES Network Coordinator to advance our mission of supporting Indigenous education and well-being. The primary focus is to oversee the comprehensive overhaul of our TREES (Training and Resources for Early Education and Schools) website, a comprehensive virtual learning platform that centers Indigenous perspectives, content, and usable knowledge resources geared toward educators, early childhood professionals, school leaders, administrators, policymakers, and more.
The ideal candidate will possess skills in strategic management (ideally within non-profit and educational settings), stakeholder engagement, e-learning, instructional design, and project management. A love of creative problem-solving and an interdisciplinary mindset will be powerful assets in this position.
This role reports to the Associate Director of Education. This is a one-year contract. The position is full-time and can be done remotely or from the MFI office in downtown Montréal.

The role :
STEWARDSHIP AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
- Oversee the redesign of the TREES website, ensuring alignment with MFI’s goals and objectives
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgetr4
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to conduct meetings, and collect and synthesize feedback between web development and design contractors and MFI stakeholders
- Incorporate best practices in instructional design, UX, and educational technology to optimize the TREES website’s effectiveness as an e-learning platform
- Manage 1-2 direct report(s) on TREES Team (E-Learning Specialist; Intern / Co-Op Student)
- Ensure effective implementation of TREES team programming and day-to-day operations
- Implement bi-annual contribution reviews to evaluate performance of TREES staff, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
- Support the professional development and growth of TREES team
- Collaborate with Evaluation team to develop an evaluation framework for the TREES network user base, usage of resources, and content engagement
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations, vendors, and stakeholders to support MFI’s mission and objectives
