About the role

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director Analyst to provide research and advisory to cloud service user and provider clients across the United States and beyond. The analyst will draw on broad knowledge of public cloud technology, vendors (including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Oracle OCI, Equinix), and deployment issues to advise clients on best practices for moving to public cloud (IaaS and PaaS) platforms.

In addition, the analyst will focus on non‑technology aspects of digital infrastructure, such as data center, pricing, and organizational challenges. The position will advise clients on evaluating and selecting cloud vendors, pricing contracts, and cloud centers of excellence, covering topics including cloud strategies, hybrid digital infrastructure, multi‑cloud architectures, cloud platforms, cloud security, cloud native infrastructure, and GenAI impact on infrastructure heads.

What you will do

• Serve as an authority on the technology market, buyer behavior, and local market implications, including regulatory and compliance, that affect the delivery of cloud services across the U.S.
• Create “how to” research and advice on best and emerging practices for buyers and sellers of technology across these requirements.
• Support our sales and client service teams in delivering insight to clients and prospects.
• Present on cloud services research and related thought leadership in one‑to‑one and one‑to‑many forums, including client presentations and Gartner events.
