Job description
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Certificate in Breast Imaging (CBI) or Certificate in Breast Imaging - Diagnostic (CBI-D).
Graduation from an approved radiology technology program.
Eligible for membership in the CAMRT.
Three (3) years recent, related radiological experience, including two (2) years performing breast imaging, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated working knowledge of all Breast Imaging protocols, applications, and equipment with a thorough understanding of the principles of breast imaging and mammography, including positioning, pathology, current technology, digital mammography and quality control as well as patient care techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiology systems, such as PACS and RIS.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Physical ability to meet the requirements of the job.
- Ability to operate related equipment, such as a computer.
