Job descriptionProven capacity of effective leadership, teamwork, collaboration and consensus-building Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong sense for ethics and discretion Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in Information Technologies, of which at least four (4) have been in a management position, ideally within a post-secondary educational milieu or non-profit organizations University degree in an appropriate Information Technologies discipline or a related field Knowledge and experience with Project Management methods is an asset Experience with Windows Servers (2019 / 2022) and cloud based solutions (Microsoft Azure) Hands on experience with firewalls, routers, switches (Barracuda, Fortinet) Proven experience with creating and implementing disaster recovery planning Working knowledge of Exchange Server (to be decommissioned) Working knowledge of variety of security technologies in areas of : End Point Protection, Malware Protection (Network), Patch Management, URL filtering, Identity and Access management (IAM), network segmentation Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, MS 365, VMWare virtual operating environment, data communications, storage array technologies Experience with network technologies including network access control (NAC) and IP management Able to communicate fluently in both English and French languages
Manager Information Technology
The Manager Information Technology provides College-wide leadership in relation to Information Technology services needs and manages the Department in support of the academic mission and institutional objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership for IT related responsibilities and gathers current and projected needs, requirements and provide options / recommendations, in a collaborative manner with other college managers
- Ensures the short, medium and long-term planning of the college’s technical infrastructures to support current and future requirements in a post-secondary educational context and implements industry’s best practices
- Manages departments’ human, financial and material resources, which encompasses the hiring, coordination, supervision, evaluation and development of all personnel under their supervision, budget planning, inventory management, etc.
- Supports the College systems : Finance, HR and Payroll, Student information, computer networks plus telephony, cameras, emergency communication systems, etc.
- Responsible for negotiation of hardware and software purchases and contracts, acts as principal vendor liaison with third party agreements for implementation, maintenance and contract renewals
- Documents policies, processes and procedures for information systems related to operations, hardware, networks, etc… and ensures adherence through various measures and controls
- Addresses cybersecurity, maintenance of user accounts, maintain and continually improve security postures
- Represent the College on external committees, as needed
- Review, improve and regularly test the disaster recovery plan and procedures
PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES
QUALIFICATIONS
This is a permanent on-site role with an annual salary of $120,000.00-$130,000.00 with 6 weeks vacation and benefits.
