Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Solutions Architect to lead a critical system evaluation initiative.

In this senior contract role, you will focus on assessing the system requirements, performance, facility environments, network setups, and hardware configurations of a high-volume, multi-site application. Your primary mission is to identify operational gaps, uncover performance bottlenecks, and define a highly scalable target architecture that will guide the organization's overarching migration strategy and deployment model.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (With a strong possibility to extend up to 12 months based on project needs)

Work Location: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 3 days remote — pending final confirmation)

Advantages
High-Impact Architecture Ownership: Take the technical lead on evaluating and reshaping a mission-critical, high-volume distributed platform.

Long-Term Contract Horizon: Secure an initial 6-month contract with a strong roadmap indicating potential extension up to a full year.

Strategic Visibility: Act as the core technical authority, delivering findings and architectural recommendations directly to senior business and IT executives.

Collaborative & Flexible Model: Enjoy a balanced hybrid work structure that combines focused remote development with collaborative on-site team days.

Responsibilities
Current-State Assessment: Audit and assess the existing multi-site application architecture, on-premises hardware stacks (servers), system configurations, and network topologies.

Fit-Gap & Performance Analysis: Proactively identify system performance bottlenecks, architectural risks, and scalability limitations across high-volume environments to perform comprehensive fit-gap evaluations.

Target Architecture Design: Define the future-state target architecture, detailing optimal hardware/software configurations, scalability improvements, and deployment models.

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with cross-functional business lines and technical teams to deeply understand complex workflows, system usage patterns, and localized site challenges.

Migration Strategy: Provide expert, data-driven input into the macro migration strategy, risk mitigation plans, and the high-level technical implementation approach.

Technical Documentation: Translate complex infrastructure and software findings into clear, structured architectural diagrams, runbooks, and briefings tailored for both technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
Experience: Proven, progressive experience operating as a Solutions Architect within complex, multi-site enterprise environments.

Software Engineering Core: Solid professional background working with C#, .NET, and SQL Server (or equivalent enterprise relational databases).

System Scales: Extensive experience designing, evaluating, or maintaining distributed applications and high-volume systems.

Infrastructure Savvy: Demonstrated experience reviewing physical infrastructure, server hardware requirements, and localized network configurations.

Soft Skills: Superior analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities. A self-directed professional who thrives with minimal supervision and proactively hunts down technical details.

Summary
If you are a seasoned Solutions Architect who bridges the gap between deep software engineering (C#/.NET) and macro infrastructure configuration, this contract offers an incredible opportunity to shape a massive enterprise landscape. Bring your analytical mindset, database expertise, and distributed systems background to a premier project team today!
