Job Title : Industrial Millwright / Industrial Mechanic (Licensed / Unlicensed)
Location : Langley, B.C.
Compensation : $40.50 - $50.50 an hour + applicable shift premiums
Schedule : Day Shift or Night Shift (rotating schedules may apply)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Industrial Millwright / Industrial Mechanic to join a large-scale, high-speed production and manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining plant reliability, equipment efficiency, and ensuring minimal downtime across production operations. This position works as part of the Maintenance Team and plays a key role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment throughout the facility.
This environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work collaboratively with both the maintenance and production teams.
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and apply information from equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings while conducting maintenance and repair tasks.
Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical systems including power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Perform inspections on equipment to identify failures, irregularities, or opportunities for preventative maintenance.
Adjust, repair, or replace defective components, parts, and machinery to restore full operational functionality.
Operate machining tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate, modify, or rebuild parts as necessary.
Use welding and fabrication equipment to support installation, repair, and maintenance needs.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and facility-related maintenance according to scheduled work orders and operational priorities.
Provide technical support to production operations to maintain uptime and optimize workflow during runtime.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and equipment reliability.
Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment by following standard housekeeping expectations.
Follow all safety procedures, including Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO), and comply with internal and external health, environmental, and safety standards.
Perform additional related duties based on operational needs.
Qualifications
Licensed Millwright, Currently enrolled Apprentice (Level 3 or 4), or Equivalent Professional Trade background will all be considered.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial facility. Experience in food processing or consumer goods environments is considered an asset.
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is required.
Proficiency operating machining and welding tools (ARC, TIG, MIG) is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and think critically when diagnosing complex mechanical issues.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and reliability-centered maintenance approaches.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to document work performed and interact with multiple departments.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with maintenance software systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Requires standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures
Must be able to work weekends and overtime when required
