The opportunity

CWB is seeking a Senior Manager, Regional Sales & Support (RSS) to provide expert sales program guidance to a CWB salespeople and sales leaders within the Central Canada Region to improve results across all business channels (Commercial, Cash Management, Personal Banking & Wealth). In this individual contributor role, the successful incumbent will work to ensure all business channels remain a priority providing teams with the tools and capabilities required for them to thrive and excel in their roles relative to CWB's strategic direction and individual business plans, working together, united as #oneCWB.

Day-to-day activities

An expert on the CWB sales process, the Senior Manager, RSS will partner with other members of Sales Effectiveness, Client Solutions Analytics, and the regional leadership team in the development and execution of sales plans and business development activities to mobilize bank initiatives in a coordinated manner that is consistent with CWB strategy, client experience and brand including the deployment of tools and consistent practices while prioritizing market opportunities & addressing gaps. The successful candidate will measure progress against targets and make proactive recommendations on how to achieve results.

  • Support the development and implementation of programs that will help the region achieve business plans based on market insights, client segments, market opportunities and client experience weaving in the CWB differentiators and value proposition, mobilizing the full breadth of CWB's entities to fully serve our clients.
  • Support the implementation of target operating model in alignment of CWBs' strategic direction while staying ahead of regional trends
  • Provide expert support as our corporate sales liaison to the frontline, fielding frontline queries and providing training and support to launch sales programs, including campaigns, incentive plans, sales pipeline, client relationship management system, and other tools to drive sales results.
  • Capture and share market intel and competitive practices happening in the region, and recommend strategies to address external pressures
  • Support the banking centre network in delivering balanced growth in desired areas, including diversification of the loan book, deposit growth targets, and wealth referrals from business owners, by using analytical tools from the Performance Portal to identify and prioritize growth in key areas.
  • Regional Support

  • Prioritize targeted sales coaching opportunities for Senior VP, Central Canada Region, focusing on how commercial relationship managers bring the strength of all CWB Business Lines to the benefit of the client relationship.
  • Mobilize initiatives (such as campaigns or effective pipeline management practices) in a coordinated manner.
  • Strategically work with banking centre teams to deliver exceptional client experience framework that will deliver on our brand promise and improving the banking centre's net promoter scores, along with technical support and expertise related to sales management tools, and campaign tracking
  • Coordinate and set agendas for Central Canada Region sales and leadership meetings
  • Consolidate regional sales activity and sales results reporting, synthesizing key insights to help Senior VP, Central Canada Region focus efforts and drive results.
  • Relationship building

  • Strengthen and build relationships of trust, credibility and support with our banking centres, regional leadership, and supporting corporate teams
  • Act as liaison between the field and the corporate office teams on matters relating to the client experience and meeting banking centre and individual objectives
  • Support programs which will help banking centre networks create market specific business plans, based on market knowledge, specialized industry segments, opportunities, and client excellence, in partnership with several departments and end users
  • Drive for optimal effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies based on branch plans, including helping the banking centres maintain an active sales funnel to achieve their objectives.
  • Core knowledge & demonstrated experiences

    Foundational knowledge includes an undergraduate degree or relevant work experience in banking or a financial institution, with a highly successful sales background. Stand apart candidates will have diverse sales function (commercial, including cash management, & personal) experience at a financial institution and helped develop and execute sales strategies and marketing plans, client experience measurements (Net Promoter Score - NPS) and business activity management plans. Your technological savvy will appear in the form of strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
