Job description

Nasittuq Corporation operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada. Please note : This is a full time, Unionized position located in North Bay, ON, that requires daily onsite presence.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical support to LRR Facilities Maintenance Technicians, NWSCC Crew Technicians, and Engineers.
  • Perform preventive, corrective maintenance, and overhauls on diesel electric generators and facilities equipment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and installation of systems like power generation, HVAC, and fire suppression.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, webinars, and workshops.
  • Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.

Who You Are

  • Credentials : Postsecondary program in electromechanical systems or trades certifications (Electrical 309A, Mechanical 310T, or CF military equivalent).
  • Experience : Minimum five years in a commercial or industrial setting, with technical training experience preferred.
  • Skills : Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and technical systems like Maximo, SCADA, or PLC.
  • Team-Oriented : Comfortable in close-knit environments, motivated to support mission-critical operations.
