About the Role :

Based in Geraldton, ON with a 7 / 7 rotation schedule , you’ll play a vital role in supporting both leadership and employees with your expertise in HR.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for :

  • Providing expert HR guidance : Offering advice, support, and practical solutions to management and staff, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive work environment.
  • Leading onboarding efforts : Coordinating and ensuring a seamless onboarding and orientation process for all new hires to set them up for success.
  • Managing HR administration : Updating employee records, tracking documents, handling data entry, and organizing meetings to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Supporting managers and employees : Addressing HR-related questions, particularly regarding policies, procedures, and benefits to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Inducting new hires : Introducing new employees to company policies, benefits, and procedures to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Ensuring compliance : Promoting a culture of compliance with labor laws and company regulations, particularly health and safety standards, and maintaining a strong code of conduct.
  • Assisting with recruitment : Helping develop and update job descriptions, and supporting recruitment efforts to attract top talent.
  • Assisting in employee relations : Supporting management in handling employment relations matters, ensuring a positive work environment for all.

    Required Qualifications :

  • A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, with mining or a related industry experience considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SuccessFactors is considered a valuable asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and goals efficiently.
  • Capacity to work independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and issue management.
