Job descriptionDevelop and implement HR strategies aligned with WestGens mission and objectives Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR matters, organizational development, and change management Oversee succession planning to build a strong, sustainable workforce Lead recruitment, post job ads, and conduct screening calls Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and prepare employment contracts Manage onboarding emails, training, and BambooHR setup Perform 30-60-day check-ins and remind managers about 90-day reviews Foster a positive culture and manage employee relations Respond to inquiries and escalate complex issues to the HR Consultant Drive performance reviews and professional development programs Maintain review schedules and documentation Support managers in staff growth and learning opportunities Organize and track company-required training Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain HR policies Administer BambooHR and maintain accurate records Manage time-off policies, vacation balances, and employment updates Support payroll processing and benefits administration Manage salary structures and pension matching program Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (CPHR designation is an asset) 57 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices Proven ability to lead HR initiatives and influence at all levels Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and decision-making abilities High level of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data-driven HR reporting is an asset Ability to manage change and support a growing, evolving organization Occasional travel Flexibility for overtime as needed

About the Role
As our Human Resources Lead, youll be the go-to person for all things HRdriving recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy development, and health and safety programs.
