ROLEThe Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of hotel cleanliness operations which include bedrooms, public areas, laundry and common areas. Responsible for the fluidity of service operations while respecting the standards of the Courtyard Marriott brand. Allowed particular attention to the safety, security and protection of property. RESPONSABILITIESRespond in a fair and courteous manner to all customer inquiries.Respond to customer questions about hotel services.Ensure optimal management of the workforce and cost control.Distribute the workload to each of the room attendants on a daily basis.Follow up on the day's priorities with room attendants and team members.Monitor the room maintenance program.Ensure at all times an impeccable presentation of the rooms.Assist the manager with training in work techniques and various cleaning products for department employees.Apply health and safety policies and procedures. Report and take immediate action, if possible, of all health and safety hazards.Check and inspect bedding and bathroom towels.Assist the director in taking and maintaining inventories.Maintain a good relationship with reception in order to manage room priority.Cleans rooms as needed at the director's request.Inspect rooms after cleaning.Keep lingerie clean and tidy.Assist the director to manage the lost and found.Supervise the cleanliness of common areas.Ensure the respect and the upkeep of the high standards of customer service established by Moxy Marriott.Perform any other task related to the duties. REQUIREMENTSHigh school or post-secondary diploma and 2 years of experience in housekeeping management or related professional field;ORDiploma from a recognized college or university in the field of hotel management ANDExperience in hospitality or related field desirable;Housekeeping experience required.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSFrench and English spoken and written. The use of French is the primary welcome language for our guests. As an international organization, we receive an English-speaking clientele of nearly 50% daily. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary to adequately serve our English-speaking clientele and meet their needs and expectations. The use of another language remains an asset.Strong customer service and satisfaction skills.Attention to detail.Flexibility.Professional attitudes and behavior (aptitudes for teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, sense of initiative, sense of organization, etc.)Knowledge of customer needs.Leadership and decision-making capacity / employees management.Able to work under pressure, possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to manage priorities.Ability to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pound loads and / or the ability to carry, push, pull or move 50 pound objects frequently
