At Jake’s Grill and Oyster House, fresh oysters and seafood have been at the heart of what we do since 1985. We’re a busy, welcoming restaurant in Burlington with a loyal team and regular guests who keep coming back.

We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic Front of House Manager to help lead our team and make sure every guest has a great experience.

If you have strong restaurant serving or bartending experience and are ready to grow into a leadership role, you don’t need years of management experience to apply. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, personality, and passion for hospitality.

What You’ll Do

As our Front of House Manager, you’ll help keep the restaurant running smoothly before, during, and after service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and organize the front of house for daily service

• Support, lead, and schedule FOH staff

• Make sure guests receive friendly, attentive, and high-quality service

• Be a visible and approachable leader for the team during busy shifts

• Jump in and support staff when things get busy

• Communicate daily priorities, updates, and direction clearly to the team

• Handle guest concerns professionally and work to create positive dining experiences

• Manage weekly beverage inventory

• Participate in management meetings and help implement restaurant policies, promotions, and initiatives

• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-focused workplace

Our experienced team knows their jobs well, so this isn’t a role where you’ll need to constantly micromanage. Your focus will be on supporting your team, keeping service organized, and making sure our guests leave happy.

What We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you’re currently an experienced server or bartender who is ready to take the next step.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Guest-focused – You genuinely care about creating a great dining experience.

Previous FOH supervisor or management experience is an asset, but it is not required. If you have strong restaurant experience and the personality and motivation to lead, we want to hear from you.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of restaurant serving and/or bartending experience

• Previous FOH leadership experience is an asset, but not required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Smart Serve certification is an asset

• Food Safety certification is an asset

• WHMIS certification is an asset

• First Aid certification is an asset
