Description :
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking applications for the position of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Grace Hospital. Reporting jointly to the Chief Medical Officer, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and Chief Operating Officer, Grace Hospital, the CMO is responsible for leadership and coordination of medical services which contribute to the performance of the organization and promote patient flow and quality of care. The CMO is committed to the integration of acute and community programs and improving the level of patient / client care provided. The CMO will ensure the highest quality of physician practice through the recruitment and retention of physicians and managing performance as required.
Qualifications :
- Medical degree and Licensed with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba to practice medicine in the Province of Manitoba
- Formal training in health care administration an asset
- A minimum of five (5) years administrative and / or leadership experience involving medical staff preferred.
- Eligibility for Medical Staff Appointment in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
- Ability to innovate in health zone delivery and foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. As a proactive leader, you also will play an active role in leadership development for medical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Evidence of leadership ability, creativity, integrity, initiative, and fiscal management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
