Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service, exceptional guest experiences, and full compliance with quality and safety standards. This role includes leading and supporting front- and back-of-house teams, coordinating team schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and addressing customer concerns with professionalism and care. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor contributes to achieving sales targets and operational objectives while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service excellence. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach, particularly during peak service periods, to ensure smooth and consistent restaurant performance.

Job Duties

  • Monitors the storage, preparation, cooking, handling, and service of all food and beverage products to ensure compliance with established recipes, portion controls, and quality standards while controlling costs and minimizing waste. (Essential)
  • Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned, including starting equipment, cleaning the grill and surrounding areas, and maintaining all other kitchen equipment. (Essential)
  • Assists with handling customer complaints and problems in a professional manner. (Essential)
  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of the restaurant team. (Essential)
  • Monitors inventory and coordinates with suppliers for restocking. (Essential)
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Represents the restaurant to customers in a professional and positive manner, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality guest experience.
  • Supervises the condition, maintenance, and appearance of all equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions to leadership.
  • Assists with coordinating daily and weekly menu specials based on food availability.
  • Works as scheduled in any restaurant position and performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1 year in restaurant supervisory experience (Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant administration, food preparation, and food safety
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
  • Must have a valid driver's license
