Job description

Adecco is currently seeking Dietary Aides to join our client's team, a reputable retirement home in Toronto, Ontario. This role is ideal for compassionate, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors. As part of the dietary team, you will help ensure that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals in a clean, safe, and respectful environment. If you're passionate about food service and elder care, this is a great opportunity to combine both in a supportive and community-focused setting.

Pay rate : $20-$23 / hour based on experience.
Location : Toronto, ON
Job type : Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities :

Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals tailored to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.

Ensuring proper portion control and visually appealing presentation.

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation and dining areas.

Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols.

Supporting inventory control and stock rotation practices.

Communicating effectively with both residents and staff to address dietary needs and preferences.

Assisting with meal planning and accommodating special dietary requests.

Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in a dietary or food service role preferred.

Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Compassionate and patient-focused approach to service.
