Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for assembling, installing and adjusting equipment, machinery.

Skills & Responsibilities

Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions

Install machinery and mechanical equipment, assembling prior to installation

Repair or replace defective machinery parts

Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up

Perform routine maintenance work on machinery

Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary

Conduct basic maintenance repairs of facility including plumbing and some electrical work

Troubleshoot machine problems as they arise

Operate machining tools to fabricate parts

Other assigned duties

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance experience

Professional Trades Certification or Red Seal is required

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts

Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary

Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches

Experience with tools, precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices

Experience performing routine maintenance

Strong math skills

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities :

Manufacturing environment

Shift Work

Overtime

Exposure to dust, vibrations, noise

Standing for long periods of time

Repetitive tasks

Lifting heavy material up to 50 lbs.

Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment

This is a full-time permanent position in our Sarnia facility.

Salary : $24.64-$30.90 / hr

Signing Bonus : New regular employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment. The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify. Contract positions do not qualify for the signing bonus.
