Job Description
Aramark Canada is recruiting a Food Service Director based in Toronto to oversee college retail food service operations at 4 campus sites in the GTA. Reporting to the District Manager, the Food Service Director develops and directs managers and their activities related to retail and catering operations, including ensuring service excellence, dining experience, safe operations, and fiscal accountability. The Food Service Director will need to ensure compliance with the standards established by Aramark Canada, regulatory agencies, and client. Additionally, the Food Services Director establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide an outstanding retail experience for customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Canada, Client and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal quality and service.
- Ensure execution and review of customer satisfaction programs across multiple platforms to maximize food and service experience.
- Meet all organizational and provincial safety standards for managed locations
- Provides overall direction and manages performance for the Retail Managers, Supervisors and / or front-line staff, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding
- Develops and implements retail services plan to continuously improve service, quality, and profitability of operations in conjunction with District manager and operations team
- Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization, ensuring a regular schedule of meetings and reviews for each location
- Develops operational component forecasts and can explain variances. Responsible for component's accounting functions
