What we offer : Up to   $52.71 per hour (including pension, and premiums - based on classification), comprehensive medical / dental coverage, and paid vacation as per the Collective Agreement.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Red Seal Field Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe, effective, accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities :

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble / disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment.
• Utilize OEM diagnosis software and interface tools to repair Doosan Heavy Equipment, Tree Equipment, Bobcat excavators / loaders, Ecoverse, Universal and a variety of material handling OEM’s or others as assigned by your supervisor or directed by the company.
• Work closely with the OEM Technical support group.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Perform routine scheduled, planned maintenance services and safety inspections.
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
• Make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
• Build and maintain customer relationships while at worksite and through Service Advisors.
• Complete detailed service reports, timecards, warranty documentation and other documentation.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality of repairs.
• Think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
• Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times.
• Protect all company assets while in use from damage or theft and complete regular service truck cleaning, organization and servicing.
• Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions :   The Field Service Technician is based out of the Abbotsford branch and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday. Regular local travel to customer’s sites and some travel to the US will be expected.
