Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive printing and packaging solutions, offers an array of services that bring creative concepts to life through cutting-edge technologies and market expertise. Specializing in digital printing, packaging, and commercial offset, they are currently seeking a Bindery operator to join their team in Mississauga.
Position Overview :
The Bindery Operator is responsible for setting up and operating various finishing equipment, such as guillotine cutters, folders, stitchers, and booklet makers, under the direction of the Plant Supervisor. This role includes making necessary adjustments and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations and the delivery of high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities :
- Follow job dockets accurately to ensure all job details are adhered to.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of bindery machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials, reporting any shortages promptly.
- Ensure all required approvals are obtained before initiating or continuing production.
- Adhere to the production schedule to meet established deadlines.
- Promptly report significant machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and verify the quality of all finished products to maintain high standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of production runs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication with supervisors.
