ResponsibilitiesThe Town of Paradise, one of the fastest growing Municipalities in Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking Full-Time, Seasonal Equipment Operators. Under the general direction of the Forepersons, this position is accountable for the operation of the Town's fleet of equipment including, but not limited to : front end loader, backhoe, dump trucks, ice control units, snow clearing equipment, and other motorized equipment and vehicles.QualificationsSuccessful completion of High School or equivalent is required;A valid Class three (3) Driver's License with 08 and 09 / 09A endorsements for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador (abstract required);Minimum of three (3) years' experience in operating heavy equipment is required;Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program is considered an asset;Previous experience in the operation of drop frame side loaders would be considered an asset;The successful candidate must be available as required and, upon occasion, this may mean long or unusual hours;Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with tact and diplomacy;Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.This is a unionized position working 40 hours per week. The salary for this position is based on an annual salary of $71,639.22 as per the Collective Agreement.
