Job Overview

Rockstar Recruiting is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Laval, QC, within the general freight trucking industry. If you're skilled in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy machinery and enjoy solving mechanical issues hands-on, we want to hear from you! In this role, youll work with a variety of heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, and more, ensuring everything operates safely and efficiently. Youll play a key part in providing top-notch service to our clients while keeping machinery in peak condition.

Responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment to ensure peak performance.
Diagnose mechanical problems using technical manuals and schematics.
Disassemble and reassemble machinery components for necessary repairs.
Use hand and power tools to complete repairs quickly and accurately.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them before they become major problems.
Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients informed about repair needs and timelines.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks during repairs, following all safety protocols.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing issues in heavy machinery.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for heavy equipment repair.
Knowledge of HVAC systems is an asset (but not required).
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics for troubleshooting.
Experience in a dealership setting is a plus.
Outstanding customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is beneficial.
