Hearing aid specialist Jobs in Welland, ON

We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to join our clients manufacturing team in Niagara Falls ON region .

Pay -

115k-120k

Key Responsibilities :

Support the implementation of health and safety policies procedures and best practices.

Conduct workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments regularly.

Assist in the investigation of incidents accidents and near misses; document findings and support corrective actions.

Deliver training on topics such as PPE WHMIS Lockout / Tagout chemical handling and emergency response.

Maintain safety documentation including incident logs training records and SDS.

Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and processes comply with safety regulations.

Support compliance with OSHA EPA MOL WSIB and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Monitor safety metrics and report key performance indicators (KPIs).

Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist with emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness of first aid and spill kits.

Qualifications :

Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field.

2 4 years of experience in a health and safety role within the food or chemical manufacturing industry.

Working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation (OSHA WHMIS etc.).

Certification in Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) First Aid or equivalent is an asset.

Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to influence safe behaviors and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
