Our client is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a designated payroll professional with a strong background in full cycle payroll experience. The successful candidate will have experience with payroll for unionized employees and a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Work Arrangement :

Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site in the Greater Kitchener- Waterloo-Cambridge area

Primary Responsibilities :

Managing and processing weekly payroll for unionized and non-union employees

Main point of contact for managers who have questions related to payroll

Preparing various payroll remittances

Completing year-end tasks and reporting

Onboard new employees into the payroll system

Support internal and external audits replated to payroll

Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes

Qualifications and Experience :

3+ years experience of full cycle payroll experience is required

Strong knowledge of unions and experience processing payroll in a unionized environment

PCP or PLP / CPM designation strongly preferred

High level or organization and detail orientation

Multi-provincial payroll experience is preferred
