What you’ll do : The Department of Psychology at Capilano University invites applications for one non-regular instructor position in Psychology to teach in-person undergraduate psychology courses beginning in Summer 2025 at our North Vancouver campus. The ideal candidate will teach one section of PSYC 213 (Statistical Methods in Psychology) and possibly one or more sections of PSYC 100 (Introduction to Psychology I) or PSYC 101 (Introduction to Psychology II), pending scheduling needs, with the possibility of teaching additional 100 / 200 / 300 level courses during future terms.
The instructor is responsible for all aspects of course design and delivery. Courses have a maximum of 35 students. This is a unionized position. Non-regular faculty are also expected to participate in professional development, and in our collegial model of decision-making and service.
What you’ll bring : Preference will be given to candidates with (or very near completion of) a PhD in Psychology or PsyD. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Psychology and demonstrated excellence in teaching will be considered. The successful candidate should provide evidence of expertise and excellence in teaching undergraduate level Psychology courses on a wide range of topics including but not limited to Introduction to Psychology, Research and Statistical Methods in Psychology, and other 200-level courses, using active learning techniques.

Salary Scale : $9420 per instructional section.
