Join our team as a Health & Safety Trainer! OSG is a leading provider of training, consulting, and online services dedicated to enhancing workplace safety and wellbeing across Canada. With a proven track record of empowering organizations to foster safer and more productive environments, OSG partners with businesses of all sizes to ensure compliance with safety regulations, reduce workplace incidents, and cultivate a culture of safety excellence. At OSG, we believe that our success is intrinsically tied to the success of our clients. We understand that workplace safety is not just a legal requirement but a fundamental aspect of fostering a healthy and thriving workforce.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world of workplace safety? Do you thrive on building meaningful relationships and helping others succeed? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Health & Safety Trainer.

Our Trainers are responsible for facilitating courses virtually and in‑person to clients across Ontario. As a representative of OSG, you will ensure that our courses are delivered consistently and with the highest quality. You will engage learners and draw on your experiences to reinforce learning outcomes, creating an environment that promotes safety and compliance.

Based on client needs, you will be delivering courses in‑person from a client's place of business, from third‑party locations or distance‑learning from your home office.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and Saturday work. We are seeking a Health and Safety Trainer in Cambridge, Toronto, Mississauga or the surrounding areas. Apply to only one opening, as we will consider you for all locations during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in‑person and online training courses to audiences across different industries while applying adult learning principles and best practices.
  • Leverage any industry knowledge and practical experience to accurately answer participant questions with sensitivity, professionalism, and inclusivity in mind.
  • Ensure administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner, including timesheets, expenses, etc.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to ensure seamless, accurate, and meaningful content delivery to clients.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in the Health and Safety Industry, including active participation on a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) preferred.
  • Certification in JHSC, First Aid, or Adult Education is considered an asset.
  • Understanding and knowledge of legislation, including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Canadian Standards Association, the Canada Labour Code, and other applicable Health and Safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus.
  • Proficiency using Google Suite, with demonstrated tech‑savviness and willingness and ability to embrace new technologies.
  • Self‑starter who can work successfully independently.
  • Valid Ontario Drivers licence with unrestricted access to operating a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to travel across Southwestern Ontario, as needed to visit client sites.
  • Home office space with reliable internet access.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Benefits Of Joining OSG

  • Impactful Role : Your work as a Trainer at OSG directly contributes to improving workplace safety across Canada. You will have the opportunity to impact the safety and wellbeing of employees in various industries.
  • Professional Growth : OSG is committed to developing and growing its team members. You will have access to ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in workplace safety.
  • Collaborative Environment : Join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their work and share a common goal of promoting safety excellence. Collaboration and teamwork are at the heart of our culture.
  • Compensation : OSG offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health and dental coverage, and other perks. The hourly salary range for this role is $22‑29 / hour, with 35 hours guaranteed per week.
  • At OSG we take pride in being an equal opportunity employer.
